A New Year, A Renewed Commitment to Excellence
Our Bobcat team begins the new year with a focus on teamwork. It is focus that extends from our entire team of professionals, to every student in our building, and each family in the Batesville community. We know that everything we achieve depends on how well we can partner with each other.
Cactus Jack Grant Awards
Our school is so happy and thankful to have been awarded over $3500 in Cactus Jack Grant awards. The awards were based on grant applications submitted by members from throughout our Bobcat team. They were meant to provide our school resources to increase student achievement (grades, test scores), behavior, and attendance. We were able to purchase bicycles, tablets, ipods, scooters, sound systems, drone helicopters, Pokemon sets, and much, much more! We are very thankful to the Cactus Jack organization for its generous support. We will be rewarding student excellence for 10 weeks, beginning the week of January 17th.
After School Tutorial Begin January 17th
After school tutorials will begin for identified students in grades 3-6 on January 17th. Resolana Circles, PBIS, and Coyote Character Traits Fighting against Bullying
Batesville Elementary has been practicing Resolana circles throughout the school year. These circles allow students opportunities to share and discuss concerns, feelings, and ideas that are meaningful to them. We include opportunities to discuss feelings connected to perceived bullying. The practice has been shown to be successful in schools and school districts across the country, and our team is committed to allowing our students time to share and listen actively to each other.
Dr. Hector D. Lopez, Principal
This Christmas break has made me incredibly thankful. I am energized and ready to work with every student, teacher, and community member to ensure that we allow our students every chance to form and achieve their dreams.
