ACTIVITIES AND ATHLETICS
Congratulations
- On Wednesday, November 13th we celebrated 16 collegiate athletes that signed National Letters of Intent for their respective sports - congratulations!
- Congratulations to our Cross Country Team - heading to CIF Preliminaries today at Riverside City Course, finals next week, 11/23 making their way to the State Championships
- Great job by all of our Fall Sports Teams ..... On to Winter! Soccer, Basketball and Wrestling

- Support our Wrestling Team tomorrow at Devil Dogs on Butterfield Stage for a Pancake Breakfast $10 per person all proceeds go to support our team
- December 12th-Guitar, Gardner Choir, Alpha and Blush Tones concert@ 7:00 p.m. in the PAC

Jersey Mikes Fundraiser
- Mark you calendars for Wednesday, November 20th for our annual Jersey Mike's Fundraiser from 3:00pm-9:00pm. Any Sub on the their menu will be just a $4.00 donation and all proceeds will go back to Great Oak Athletics.
Remember those in need this Holiday Season. Pick up an extra toy and drop it off at the boxes in the front office-Thank you!
Spirit of Great Oak
Congratulations to the Spirit of Great Oak, who qualified last weekend to compete in the Band Championships this weekend at Warren HS, Downey, CA Good Luck!
They also performed in a Veteran's Day tribute with TVHS and Chaparral this week. Amazing Job SOGO!
Watch for them in the Temecula Electric Light Parade on December 6th

Mrs. Preston is offering workshops to support seniors with their college applications. Please Click on this link to sign up for a college application workshop that works best for you.
So Cal Recognition will be on campus taking cap and gown orders the following days throughout the year on the Senior Lawn at lunch:

FAFSA
Submit your 2020/2021 FAFSA ASAP! Money is allotted by college financial aid offices on a first come-first get basis by the date you submit your FAFSA.
Applications must be submitted by March 2, 2020.
Families that complete their FAFSA by March 2nd will receive an additional graduation ticket, for a total of 6 tickets. As an added bonus, once you complete your FAFSA, you will automatically be entered into a monthly raffle for two extra graduation tickets. Visit the Counseling website for more information.

CSULB Leadership Conference & College Tour
GOHS AVID is sponsoring a great opportunity to tour Long Beach State University and experience both a leadership conference & a college level basketball game on Saturday DECEMBER 7, 2019.
Only 50 spots available!
Cost for transportation is $25
Interested students will need to return a signed permission slip and check payable to GOALS AVID to Mrs. Andrade in room 601 to be added to the trip list.

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on college tuition.
