Yearbook Sponsored Holiday Spirit Week, December 6-10!

Hey Ravens,

The Yearbook staff has decided to sponsor a . . . SPIRIT WEEK!!! The yearbook is all about you guys and how we live academically and non-academically. To represent some holidays that won't be in the yearbook due to timing and deadlines, we decided to make this spirit week holiday themed.

Monday is Valentines day, wear red and pink and go all out in love.

Tuesday is St. Patrick's Day, wear green or you'll be in for a surprise.

Wednesday is National Pencil Day, April Fools' haha. Wednesday is actually April Fools' day. Dress Wacky and pull some school appropriate pranks.

Thursday is Halloween, dress in your spookiest costume and be ready for a big scare.

Friday is Frosty Friday, we know everyone doesn't celebrate the same holidays so this is where you represent whatever wintery holiday you celebrate.

We can't wait to see you and your amazing outfits. Be ready to smile!

We appreciate your Participation,

RECHS Yearbook Staff 2021

RCC/RCSS/ACS March 8 Senior Event

Seniors WITHOUT post-graduation plans, this is for you!!!

On March 8, 2022, Randolph Community College and other organizations are hosting an event to show you opportunities available within Randolph County. RCC will showcase their programs, a job fair will occur, and military recruiters will be present. Seniors can come in any of the time blocks below:

· 9:15-11:15 (reserved for HS seniors)

· 12:15-2:15 (reserved for HS seniors)

· 4:00-6:00 (open to the public)

RCC Graduation Application

The graduation application is now open for Spring '22 and is accessible through Self-Service, instructions are attached. Seniors who have planned to graduate with a college degree and/or certificates need to fill this out as soon as possible so if there are classes we missed there is still time to adjust their Spring schedule. The registrar's office reviews the plan of study and is getting back to students within the same day letting them know if they are on track to graduate.

In Need of Volunteer Hours?

Randolph Community College is hosting an event on March 8 and they are in need of volunteers. Volunteers can be 9th-12th graders. Please contact Shea Grosch if you would like to volunteer. Please be aware that it is during our spring break.

College Course Information

Parents and guardians, we invite you to reach out to Mrs. Perry (, our RCC Liaison, at any time with questions or concerns about your child's academic performance in a college class. Please remember, our high school students are treated as college students regarding their RCC courses; therefore, college instructors will only speak directly to the student. Additionally, Mrs. Perry addresses any alerts/concerns she receives from instructors with our students. We encourage you to have conversations with your student. Please have students show you their Moodle (college courses), Canvas (high school courses) and PowerSchool. You can access Parent Portal for PowerSchool and you can become an observer in Canvas as well.

Please be aware, at this point in the semester, when a student is withdrawn from a college class, he/she receives a failure on the high school transcript. This is also the case if a student chooses to drop a class.
