MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL LAMBERT
Dear Mariano Castro Parents,
State testing begins next week for 5th grade and begins May 1st for 3rd and 4th grades. Testing for grades 3, 4, and 5 ends on Friday May 12th. You will help your child the most by making sure that they eat a good breakfast each morning, are not rushing in the morning, and that they get 8-10 hours sleep each night. If all of these are in place, your child will be able to focus much more easily to Show What They Know!
The results from the state testing usually come back from the state in August and are then mailed to parents. In September the School Site Council will meet together to review the school-wide results and the goals and strategies for the 2017-2018 school year.
Best Regards,
Theresa Lambert

The arts are a vehicle for creative expression and social interaction in ALL kids. The arts are linked to academic achievement as well as social and emotional development. In this forum we will explore the various arts opportunities in our community. We’ll hear from Youth Drama for All (in their 10th year of productions), Dance for ALL (a YMCA based community class), and other local arts groups.
