Traffic Flow Helpers
Traffic Flow Team ready for action!!! As part of the LPS vision and mission, parent partnership is a top priority. The Traffic Flow Team is a program for elementary parents to be involved, servant lead and be part of the solution. The Traffic Flow Helpers will be a welcome presence in the Parking Lot to assist parents in the proper flow of traffic. A correct traffic flow is vital to ensure the safety of students, staff and parents during high congestion times. Lets come together and support LPS with a positive attitude and smiling faces. Moms & Dads welcome! Parents can sign up for slots that last only 20-25 minutes. If everyone just takes just one slot, think of the difference we can make. Please make sure you have a background check filled out. Sign in the front office 5 minutes before your shift to get a Traffic Flow Team Vest for easy identification.
Please make sure you have completed a background check. See link below

End of Year Medication Pickup
Dear LPS Elementary Parents,
If you provided medication to us this year, please make plans to pick it up after your child's awards ceremony. We find it is the quickest and most effective time to pick up your child's meds since most of you attend the final awards.
· 5/25 Awards ( 8:05-3rd, 9:30-2nd, 1:45-4th)
· 5/26 Awards ( 8:10-1st, 9:30-kinder)
If you are unable to attend, please make plans to come and pick it up at the clinic before dismissal on Thursday. After dismissal on Thursday, May 26, it will be properly disposed. We are unable to keep medication for the next year. If you have any questions, you can reach us at 972-294-6921, option 2 for the nurse. It has been our pleasure caring for your children. After School Care with Kelly Skinner
Does your child need after school care and supervision? Help with homework? The AFTER HOURS program at our secondary campus has EXPANDED to include any student from elementary or secondary.
Kelly Skinner runs this program independently of the school, and is an LPS mom who loves our school and students. She substitutes regularly and has been very involved in multiple school activities over the past four years. Elementary students will be walked down to the secondary building by Mrs. Skinner after they are released for the day. The classroom at secondary is currently not in use during the school day as it is assigned to an online teacher.
AFTER HOURS is available for early release days and some Full Staff Development days. During the day your child can expect to play games, complete homework, have chrome book time, play outside or in the gym when available, do art projects, science experiments, and watch a G rated movie on full days. Students need their own snack and water, on full days they also need a lunch from home. We follow all of the normal LPS COVID policies, and pick up is at the Secondary building south parking lot (regular drop off and pick up area).
Please contact Kelly Skinner directly to sign up!
