To our EIMS Lancer Families,

School is starting! We have lots of learning and fun happening throughout all our classes. It is crazy to think that our 5 week mark is coming up soon.

Homecoming week was amazing with all the outfits and school spirit!

A gentle reminder that a fully charged laptop can last the entire day at the middle school, so if you can remind your child(ren) to charge their laptops when they go to bed that would be a huge help!

This Saturday is homecoming- The middle school traditionally walks in the parade as a unit. We would LOVE for your child (and you if you want!) to join us in walking in the parade. We will be meeting at 10am at our busing garage, 125 Kane Drive, and the parade will start at 10:30am. There is no sign up at all, just come in and join!

After School

If your child is deciding to stay after, they should be with a teacher or their sport. If not they will be asked to leave the building. If there are any concerns or issues, please call the main office!

Sporting Events- All students need to be escorted by an adult to ANY sporting event, modified, JV, and/or Varsity sports. If there is no adult taking responsibiliy for the child they will be asked to leave the event.

Join the EIMS PTSA and Drug Free Irondequoit for a Vaping 101 Nicotine Cessation Presentation. To promote the welfare of children and youth at home, school and throughout the community. There will be free childcare provided. October 11, 2022 - from 6:30-7:30pm East Irondequoit Middle School 155 Densmore Road OVERVIEW: 6:30 Meal 7:00 PTSA Greeting 7:10-7:45 Presentation and Q&A All families of any age student are welcome to attend the meal and presentation on October 11th at the middle school. Benefits • Learn about the hazards of smoking, smoking dependency, and what triggers the start of smoking • Receive information about how to achieve and sustain the goal to quit smoking Our Goals: • Provide information to parents, guardians, and teens • Offering suggestions on different strategies to help reduce smoking and dependency and quit smoking In partnership with: • Drug Free Irondequoit Together • Above the influence of vaping • Smoking & Health Action Coalition of Livingston & Monroe Counties • Center for a Tobacco-Free Finger Lakes

Nurses Corner

7th Grade-

All 7th grade students are required to receive one dose of the Meningococcal (Meningitis) vaccine.

Vaccines can be obtained from the student’s Pediatrician and various Health Care Clinics in the Community.

New York State Education Law mandates that students in Seventh grade have a physical examination. This must be completed within one year of the current school year.

6th Grade-

All 6th grade students are required to receive a current T-Dap (Tetanus) vaccine.

Vaccines can be obtained from the student’s Pediatrician and various Health Care Clinics in the Community.
