Roberts and ECHS Weekly Newsletter
Week of March 8th- March 12th
A note from our Administration
Dear SKSD Alternative Education students and families,
Hello and welcome to the month of March!
We hope your power is on, and internet is working. If it is not, please reach out to us so we can help with planning for resources, meals, and supports!
As elementary is returning to hybrid learning, please let us know if there are schedule needs you are working on. We are still working with the district and our community to identify how that might look at Secondary and we will communicate plans and next steps as we learn them.
We are committed to Distance Learning through the end of Quarter 3, so you can plan on business as usual for now.
Thanks you for your brilliant kids!

Return to School Email to families
In Alternative Education we are working to identify schedules, processes and systems for how this will look in our smaller programs. We will send our own program-based communication in the coming weeks, and will update you in this Newsletter as well. We appreciate your patience and are happy to address your questions as we develop a plan!
Please know that the details of the email are developed with the comprehensive neighborhood schools in mind and may not apply directly to AltEd. As we have all year, we will share our program plans with you as soon as possible.
ELPA Testing is HERE!
ELPA testing is an important assessment of student progress and proficiency in the English Language. The ELPA indicates service levels, interventions, and even completion of ELD programming and is important to come in and complete.
ELPA testing is taking place at our State Street Campus (3620 State St SE). All safety and physical distancing requirements apply. The test takes -5 hours to complete, and testers will need to come for 2 hour sessions, so plan on 2-3 appointments to complete the assessment.
Please sign up for the ELPA using this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4EACAE23A4FEC07-elpa
If you have questions, please contact Joy Clydesdale (clydesdale_joy@salkeiz.k12.or.us) for more information or call 503-399-5550
For students who are coming into our buildings for testing or LIPI
Students who are invited back to campus for academic support, LIPI, or testing have been slated for a specific time based on local health and safety rules.
Please work with your student and our staff to ensure that your student is attending on their scheduled days and times. Students who arrive early may not be able to enter the building until their allotted time.
