Kipling Elementary School Inspiration EdCamp, May 20 from 1:30-3:15pm
Kipling Elementary School Inspiration EdCamp, May 20 from 1:30-3:15pm: Kipling needs a little inspiration from you! Kipling is hosting a Career Day -- called Inspiration EdCamp -- in which fifth grade students learn from community members who volunteer their time to discuss their careers focusing on the following ideas:
How does your career inspire yourself and others?
What academic subjects do you rely on in your career? (STEM-science technology engineering and mathematics, language arts, social studies, fine arts, PE/health, etc.)
What are some of your favorite parts of your career?
What are some challenges you face in your career?
What are ways in which you work collaboratively with others in your career?
It will be in the style of an EdCamp -- a fun, participant-driven learning experience that is very common in the world of educators. Presenters will receive a classroom assignment, and students can choose presentations based on their interest. There will be three, 30 minute sessions so students can learn about several different careers. Presentations should last about 15-20 minutes, allowing time for Q&A (and our students are sure to have great questions).
If you are available to share your knowledge and expertise -- and some inspiration -- with Kipling students on May 20, please fill out the Inspiration Day Volunteer Form. You will hear from Kipling staff soon with details!Mark Your Calendars
