Color Guard will NOT have practice this week, Tuesday, July 6th. Enjoy your extended holiday!

Uniform Fittings

The Marching Flashes will be fitted into their marching uniforms during the summer practices. Students should dress in a t-shirt and shorts to wear under the uniform. Bring a smile because we'll be taking your photo in uniform. You will look amazing as a Marching Flash!

Schedule is as follows:

July 8, 3:30PM - Mellophone/Drum Majors

July 15, 3:30PM - Baritone

July 19, 3:30PM - Drumline

July 20, 3:30PM - Front Ensemble

Location: Annex Building (North of football stadium), Door 14S (faces the football stadium)

NOTE: If a student has missed their section’s fitting date, we will make up during band camp, 9am, Wednesday, July 21st. Everyone will be fitted for a marching uniform.

Color guard fitting dates TBA.

Band Camp! July 19 - 24

Band Camp will be held July 19 - 24 from 9am - 8pm. Camp is for all of the Marching Band students - guard, winds, and percussion.


Lunch 12 - 1pm (bring your own)

Dinner 4 - 5pm (provided by the Band Boosters)

Students must remain on campus during meals.

Next week, we will provide more details about dinner menus, theme days, and the essential supplies for the practice. Contact Travis Sears if you have any questions.


First Aid Volunteers Needed

Band camp starts on July 19! Our students need volunteers with experience in First Aid to be on campus during the 9am – 8pm practices. There is no requirement for you to be there all day. We will take whatever time you can offer. Please contact Travis Sears. marchingbandliaison@fcbands.org

Wanted: Grill Masters

Would you enjoy lending your grilling skills for the band this fall? We are evaluating if there are enough volunteer grillers to prepare burgers and hot dogs for the students in October. If you are interested in grilling for the band, please contact our food lead, Melissa Kieper.

The Marching Flashes are going to Florida!

The Marching Flashes are taking a trip to Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando March 20-25, 2022! We've set up a page dedicated to the trip, so be sure to check regularly for updates. Click here now to get all the details, including the presentation from Music Travel Consultants.

Car Wash and Raffle Fundraiser

FC Bands Annual Car Wash and Raffle Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, July 24 from 9am - 4 pm. The purpose of this fundraiser is Covid recovery. In the past school year, we lost most of our fundraisers resulting in a budget shortfall for needs-based scholarships and the general fund.

The car will be located to Chicago’s Pizza, Flashbacks and the high school. There will be two shifts: 8:30am – 12:30pm and 12:30pm – 4:30pm. We need parent volunteers to supervise each site. Also, we’ll need someone to sell raffle tickets. Student volunteers will have a great time washing cars with their friends and raising money for the band.
