"All Hands on Deck" for Packing and Moving Day May 26
The much anticipated May 26 moving and packing Professional Learning Day is upon us. In the spirit of Rocket community, we will be taking an “all hands on deck” approach to packing our high density areas. Whether you’re moving to a new building, a new classroom, or just packing for the summer, there is plenty of work to be done and we’re all here to help.
Click here for a document where you will find the names of our non-certified staff members and District Office administrators with assignments to assist in high density packing areas across the District. We ask that those staff members listed on this schedule report to the assigned building at the start of the workday on May 26 and assist in packing the area to which you’re assigned.
We’ll break for lunch at 11 a.m. and ask that you return to your designated location until the designated areas are packed and ready. If your name is not listed on this form and you are not moving your room, please support your colleagues and pitch in to assist us in taking on this task. If you have questions regarding this process, please reach out to your building principal for more details.
Shattuck Open House Set for June 4
The public is invited to celebrate Shattuck School for the final time with an open house on Sunday, June 4 from 1-3 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of the school that will host students for the last day of school on May 31.
There is no need to register in advance and people are welcome to arrive anytime in the two-hour window. Items or memorabilia will not be available for sale or to be taken from the property.
Dongles Stay in Classrooms
Previously, you may have heard from your building to take your classroom dongle home with you over the summer. This has changed and we will need the dongles to stay in the classroom this summer. Keeping these dongles in the classroom will help support summer school and help us get classrooms set up more quickly.
The only devices you should take with you over the summer are your MacBook Air and your charger.
Hang Onto Those Wellness Premiums
Remember that you have until August 31 to reach Silver Status in the Go365 Wellness Program to keep or capture the District's lower, Wellness Premium for health insurance. There are a variety of ways to earn this status. Please click here for ideas on what you can do over the summer break to make sure you reach Silver Status. Becky Frakes is available (at x10108) to answer your questions.

Healthy You Update
Congratulations on (almost) completing the 2022-23 school year!
We would like to say thank you to all of our Healthy You champions - PLEASE be sure to thank them for the time they volunteered to help promote wellness at your school/building. It takes a village and we could not have done it without them!!
The theme of our final post of the year is stress & therapy.
As we finish out May, Mental Health Awareness Month, we encourage you to think of how stress might be affecting your mental health. We all have it! One of the worst things you can do to cope with your stress is to ignore it. If something bothers you at work, in your relationship, or with a friend, keeping your thoughts to yourself could form resentment, which typically pops up in an outburst somewhere down the line anyway.
Many people believe that their thoughts and feelings aren’t worth sharing with others or that no one in their lives would care to talk with them about their issues. Usually, this is far from the truth. Instead of biting your tongue and shying away from expressing your feelings, click here to try these strategies to help ease your mind.
