Dress for Success on Field Day: Friday, May 10!
Field Day is Friday, May 10. Beginning with the end in mind for Field Day will ensure that everyone has a fun, safe day!
1. Proper clothing is needed for sun protection. For example, a t--shirt with short sleeves should be worn rather than a tank top.
2. Students should wear proper footwear and a jacket if the weather is cooler.
3. Please provide a water bottle for your child.
4. Please apply sunscreen on your child in the morning BEFORE school.
5. Consider sending to school that day your child's own sunscreen labeled with their name. Re-application can occur after the indoor lunch break. Teach your child how to apply sunscreen SAFELY. Do not apply or spray to the eye area.
6. Remind your child that they do not apply sunscreen to anyone else while at school.
Note: It is the Olathe District's policy that schools do not provide sunscreen nor apply sunscreen that has not been specifically sent by the parents for the student on the day of the event.
