Spiritual Life at Knox
October 3 - 9
Interfaith Amigos In Town!
Imam Jamal Rahman, Pastor Don Mackenzie and Rabbi Ted Falcon — the Interfaith Amigos — started working together after 9/11. Since then, they have brought their unique blend of spiritual wisdom and humor to audiences all over the U.S., as well as Canada, Israel-Palestine, and Japan. The Interfaith Amigos present a crucial message in their unique humorous style, helping participants appreciate the promise and the problems of the interfaith experience.
With their willingness to openly address the usual taboos of interfaith dialogue—the “awkward parts of each tradition—the Interfaith Amigos create a more authentic conversation, between themselves and with their audiences, giving people an opportunity to step more fully into the rich promise of the interfaith experience. Their work is dedicated to supporting more effective interfaith dialogue that can bring greater collaboration on the major social and economic issues of our time.

Spiritual Life Office
The Office of Spiritual Life seeks to nurture the ethics and identities of the Knox community by expanding our connection to our community and our world. As more people identify as spiritual or non-religious, the office strives to help students navigate and define their own experiences, whether those be religious, humanist, atheist, or something beyond or in between.
In addition, religious literacy remains valuable in a world where we must strive to respect and understand our increasingly diverse neighbors. The Office of Spiritual Life carries the tradition of the liberal arts by teaching students to communicate with people from all walks of life.
