Indian Hills Arrival Procedure
All students will be entering through the main entrance doors. Once inside the building students will either go to the cafeteria for breakfast (see below for breakfast cost) OR into the gym. Students who enter the gym will sit in their specific classroom line until dismissed to go to their classroom at 8:05. Teachers will pick up their class from the gym to head to the classroom to start their day.
*Parents please say your good-bye at the entrance of the building.
Indian Hills Dismissal Procedure
This year, Indian Hills will be utilizing a tiered release at dismissal, organized by how students will be getting home. We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility as we start this new dismissal process. Please let your child’s teacher know how your student plans to get home each day.
Please remember to bring your completed IHES pick-up sign (given out during supply drop off) each day, regardless of how you will be picking up your student(s). This will help connect students and families in a safe and efficient manner.
Release times will be as follows:
M, T, Th, F: W:
Walkers - 2:35pm Walkers - 2:05pm
Bus Riders - 2:40pm Bus Riders - 2:10pm
Car Pick-Up (Loading Zone) - 2:45pm Car Pick-Up (Loading Zone) - 2:15pm
Kindergarten & 1st Grade
Walkers
All Kindergarten & 1st Grade students who will be walking home with a parent/guardian or a sibling will be picked up at the exit doors under the covered play area (see image) on the west end of the building.
Parents/guardians and siblings who will be picking up a Kindergarten or 1st Grade student will enter through the west gate and walk to the exit doors to collect their student from a Kindergarten or 1st Grade teacher.
This includes parents/guardians who prefer to drive to the school and park their car, then proceed to walk to the west exit doors to collect their student.
Siblings who will be picking up a Kindergartener or 1st Grader will exit the building according to their grade level plan (see below) and use the west gate to walk to the exit doors to collect their sibling.
Bus Riders
Kindergarten and 1st Grade students who will be riding a School District bus or a daycare bus will be escorted by a Kindergarten and 1st Grade teacher to the bus loading area.
Car Pick-Up (Loading Zone)
Kindergarten and 1st Grade students who will be picked up by their parent/guardian in the car Loading Zone will be escorted by a Kindergarten and 1st Grade teacher to the designated area in front of the building.
Champions
Kindergarten and 1st Grade students who will be attending Champions will be escorted to the cafeteria by a Kindergarten and 1st Grade teacher.
2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Grade
Walkers
All 2nd through 6th grade students who will be walking home will exit the building via the main entrance.
Parents who plan to meet their children out front must wait behind the concrete column to give space for students to safely exit the building.
Once you have collected your student(s), please promptly walk home to alleviate congestion and crowding to ensure the safety of our students.
Bus Riders
All 2nd through 6th grade students who will be riding a School District bus or a daycare bus will be escorted by a Kindergarten and 1st Grade teacher to the bus loading area.

Champions

It is time to log in to ParentVUE to update your information. This is critical to ensure we have updated phone numbers, emergency contacts, addresses, etc. Please take 10 minutes to log in and update your information here. The steps for this process with pictures are below. Our office team appreciates your help with this!
If you are new to Indian Hills and/or HSD, ParentVue is an online parent portal. Here you can review attendance, grades, update information, etc.
