Medford Elementary Newsletter
2020-21 School Year - Vol. 4
Dear Medford Elementary Families,
The chilly weather this week reminded us all that seasons do change and some seasons seem to change quite quickly! Please be weather aware when sending your child to school in the morning. Do they need a jacket? Are shorts or pants necessary?
Thank you for reminding all our Tigers to keep our students warm and ready to be outside in the morning and for recess each day! Please continue to reach out if you have any questions.
It's a great day to be a Tiger!

Elementary Principal

What does morning arrival look like?
What does morning arrival look like?
While there are many changes, the school start and end times will stay the same as last year. (We are asking families that they do their best to have their child arrive as close to 8:00 as possible in order to promote social distancing to the greatest extent in the mornings). We will be staggering movement into the building with greater spacing between each group. To help with our staggered entrance, we will have morning "zones" outside their grade level windows around the school.
We are asking families to do their best to have their child arrive as close to 8:00 as students WILL NOT be allowed to enter the building until after 8:00 unless eating breakfast. Breakfast will begin around 7:45. Students who will be eating breakfast, will have a designated spot to line up outside the front of the elementary building and a staff member will escort them in at approximately 7:45.
*Masks will be required and social distancing encouraged outside during arrival.
*Please do not send any recess equipment (football, basketball etc.) with your child to school. They will not be allowed to use it during the day.
*Students will line up by class in front of their designated spot each morning which will be labeled with the appropriate signage.
*If the weather does not allow us to be outside, the students will enter the building and go to their classrooms.
Thank you to everyone for doing your best this year in having your child arrive as close to 8:00 as possible We appreciate it. You are doing an exceptional job!
