The Manning Weekly Update

February 4, 2022

Manning Community

I hope you've had a great week! Waking up on Wednesday morning, with close to a foot of snow at my house, reminded me of my younger days in Chicago, where we would go out and build snow forts, mold an arsenal of snowballs, and then engage in snowball fights with my brothers and neighborhood friends. We would then come in for hot chocolate and proceed to the local snow hill to sled. A couple important things to note as we enter next week:

1.) Our parent partnership meeting is next Tuesday, February 8th. This meeting will only be held through Zoom. I would like to invite as many of you to join as possible. We will be looking at Manning's current budget, and as an advisory group, I would like to hear from our community about budget priorities for the 2022-2023 school year. I hope to see you at this important parent partnership meeting. Zoom link is below:

2.) Please take care when driving in our school zone. We've received a couple reports over the past two weeks of erratic behavior. If you notice this type of behavior, please get the license late of the erratic driver and contact myself and our school resource officer Deputy Lewis. You will notice that we have speed trailers out on 32nd Avenue that are reminding the public to slow down in a school zone. We've also had Jeffco Sheriff presence in the morning and afternoon to ensure that our community is obeying the school zone speed limit.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Better Together,
