Bill Gates
Bill Gates is known by many as the founder of Microsoft, a multinational corporation that produced the Windows operating system. Microsoft helped spark the technology revolution, leading to the widespread adoption of computer in the lives of many. Windows is now one of the most used operating systems worldwide, found in device as small as phones to servers powering corporations. As a result of this, Bill Gates is worth an estimated $70 billion, one of the wealthiest people in the world.
Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs is known as co-founder of Apple, creators of products such as the Mac, iPhone, and the iPad. Having dropped out of college, Jobs helped develop the Macintosh, a computer that would go on to compete with Microsoft's Windows operating system and their respective partners. Jobs left Apple in the 90's, only to return to bring the company back from the brink of bankruptcy. Apple turned around with the iMac and iPod. These products helped turn Apple around and helped to develop the iPhone, released in 2007 to much avail. Jobs left behind a legacy of accelerating the mobile phone marketspace, increasing people's use of smartphones and integrating them into our daily lives.
Mark Zuckerburg
Mark Zuckerberg is known as the founder of Facebook, one of the highly used social networks used worldwide. Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard University to work on Facebook and further develop it. Facebook is now a multibillion dollar company that connects friends and family worldwide. Through Facebook, Zuckerberg has helped thousands through his philanthrophy, donating millions to charities worldwide.
