KINDNESS Week Activities
Monday, February 20th- RAK Board Challenge- Each student will receive a Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Board Challenge for the week. On Friday, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Jordan will announce the RAK board class winners from each grade level.
Tuesday, February 21st- Kindness Post-It Wall- Students and Staff will be given different colored sticky notes to write a kind note to a teacher, staff member, or student that will be posted on the Kindness Wall.
Wednesday, February 22nd- Graffiti on the Black Top- Students and Staff will write positive sayings or messages with sidewalk chalk on the blacktop during recess about Kindness.
Thursday, February 24th- Pay it Forward- Students and Staff will receive a Pay it Forward card and perform a kind act for someone else and then pass their Pay it Forward Card to the individual to continue spread Kindness.
Friday, February 25th- RAK Board Challenge Winners will be announced.

We will have special programs and speakers for each grade level all day long!Kindergarten
Coding with Ms. Burkett in your classroom!
1st grade, 4th grade, 5th grade
Meet Mr. Nao, a robot from the Lexington Technology Center, who will talk about coding and technology careers with students and teachers in the Learning Commons!
2nd grade, 3rd grade
Meet Jay Robinson, Makey Makey expert! He works at EdVenture and will share with students and teachers how to use Makey Makey in the Learning Commons!
Family Math Night is coming
Save the Date! We will be having Family Math Night at the Hendrix Crossing Publix on Thursday, March 16th from
4:30 - 6:30. A flyer for parents will be coming home soon with your student
March 2 is Dr. Seuss’ birthday and to celebrate, NPES is hosting a READING PATROL!
On Thursday, March 2 , the NPES Reading Patrol will
be driving around looking for NPES families who are READING! You can read
magazines, newspapers, books...whatever! If we catch your family reading, you will
win a Reading Patrol Prize!

Pasta & Pride Silent Auction
- Our 1st annual NPE PTA Pasta & Pride Silent Auction is coming up on Friday, February 24th beginning @ 5:45 - 7:45 in our cafeteria & gym. Don't forget to fill out the order form please. There will also be a live band (MC3) and lots of great baskets to bid on, in all price ranges. Hope to see everyone here!
