A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Last evening, Mrs. Ramsey and our band put on a spectacular concert outdoors under the pavilion. It was bittersweet for our 8th-grade students, who performed for their last time as students of St. Jude School.
Here are a few quick reminders. Effective June 1st, students are not required to wear their uniforms to school. On June 10th, dismissal will be at 1:00. There is no extended day and no bus service.
After much discussion with Lorain County Public Health and careful review of the CDC guidelines, effective June 2nd St. Jude School will implement the following:
Face Masks will be optional for the FULLY VACCINATED staff members.
All of the protocols for our students remain unchanged through the last day of school, June 10th.
The wearing of masks outdoors remains optional as a parent's choice.
Enjoy this Memorial Day long weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday.
Grace and peace,
Mrs. Molly Hibler

Attention 6th Grade Parents
Please make sure your child has received their Dtap booster and Meningococcal vaccines before the next school year. Please have the doctor for a copy of immunization records to record the date on their file here at school. This Dtap booster is a requirement by the State of Ohio. If you choose not to receive the vaccines, the parents must fill out an exempt form before the next school year. Any questions, feel free to contact me via email, or you may call the school.

Summer Math+ Program at St. Ignatius - Starts June 15th
St. Ignatius High School to offer an advanced Mathematics course taught by David Sabol.
The Math+ program includes 6 courses. Each Math+ course focuses on 1 major idea based on key concepts included in Stanford University’s introductory math sequence.
This Summer, the Math+ course will focus on Number Theory – the study of integers (e.g., -1, 2, 3). Over the six classes, we will explore different aspects of this critical concept and will learn what Number Theory is and how it relates to computer applications and important topics including cryptography. A letter about the course is attached.
The six-session course will be taught on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:15-2:15 pm starting on Tuesday, June 15th, and ending on June 24th. The course will be held in person at St. Ignatius High School.
For families interested in the online/virtual Math+ course, we are also planning to open an online Math+ course in the Summer.
We think that many of the students at your school would enjoy and benefit from Math+ so we would appreciate your help letting families know about this program. If you could provide the attached information to families who may be interested, we would very much appreciate it. Families can sign-up at www.RedwoodPrep.com.
