Word of the Month: COMPASSION
Throughout the month of September we will be focusing on the word, COMPASSION.
We will be reading I Am Love by Susan Verde.
What does it mean to show others compassion? When was a time someone showed you compassion? How did it make you feel?

Free Breakfast & Lunch For All Cabot Students - On-site & Digital
The Cabot School District has some exciting news for our Panther families!
Beginning Tuesday, September 8th, all students, Pre-K-12th grade, will be provided free breakfast and lunch through December 31, 2020. This includes on-site and Cabot Panther Digital Academy students.
Anyone who has purchased meals since August 31st will also soon receive a retroactive credit to their account.
When we return to school on January 4, 2021, the district will go back to the traditional Free/Reduced/Paid programs. We highly encourage completion of the Free & Reduced Price Meal applications. Current funds in student cafeteria accounts will remain in those accounts and be applied to meal purchases when they resume.
Cabot Panther Digital Students
Order forms will continue to be emailed every Monday to CPDA parents for weekly meal pick-up for students.
The boxes will include five breakfast and lunch meals. Pick-up will take place at the Cabot High School cafeteria every Saturday and Sunday. Parents will be able to select a time slot to pick up their meals for the week.
A weekly menu will be included on the sign-up sheet.
If a parent has any questions regarding the new free meal waiver or weekly meal pick-up for digital students, please contact our Food Services Department at 501-843-3363 or email cpdamealpickup@cabotschools.org.

Car Riders- PLEASE MERGE WITH KINDNESS
If you plan to turn onto BELLAMY your child will be a FRONT car rider.
If you plan to turn left onto EAST MAIN to exit the parking lot, your child will need to be a GYM car rider.
There are three car rider lanes as you turn into the parking lot from Bellamy. The inner two lanes are for FRONT car riders. The lanes will merge to form one line in front of the building. The outside lane is for GYM car riders.
We will have students in the building to provide social distancing. Please be patient with us!

**We will not allow a student to change transportation unless a phone call is made to the office, not an email, message or note to the teacher.

Birthday Celebrations at Eastside
Every birthday is special! You are welcome to send nonfood items (erasers, pencils, bookmarks, etc.) to celebrate your child’s actual birthday, but we must reserve store bought food items for our monthly party. Please help us by not asking to send food items on other days! This is in accordance with Section 5.02.04 of the Arkansas Nutrition Standards Rules. Classroom teachers and school newsletters will give more information monthly.

Mask Reminders
We ask students and adults to wear masks while traveling around the school or classroom. They do have the opportunity to take them off when sitting at their desk or safe area.
Students are asked to take masks to the playground. They are told to take them off if they are running and a safe distance from others. However, if they want to talk to friends and be a little closer than six feet, they can pull up their masks to play.
We are working to teach them respect and responsibility with the new 'life skill' of masks. We appreciate your support and encouragement to your child.
