About MOMS

The Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) is a ministry for mothers at Holy Spirit to share their faith stories, experiences and traditions with other moms. Our Vision is to be a faith-filled ministry supporting and serving one another and our community with love, friendship, compassion, and laughter on our journey of motherhood.

Welcome back, brave mamas!

We've already had a great start to our semester with the first three meetings. You constantly inspire us. Ladies, thank you so much for having the courage to be vulnerable!! Thank you for creating a space where others don't have to hustle for worthiness or hide their true selves. When we allow ourselves to be known, we can give God the glory for the way He has made us and the way He redeems all things. We want to thank everyone who honors the bravery and courage of the others in the group (both online and at our meetings) by listening, reaching out, offering your "me, too", praying for each other's needs and keeping the things shared confidential. We are honored to be a part of this group of women and we are praising God for many, many answered prayers. You are a blessing!

Here's a link to our devotion on vulnerability on 1/12 if you missed the meeting!

With love,

Your MOMS Facilitators

Sarah and Jen

Toy and Clothing Drive/Swap

Thursday, Jan. 19th, 9:45am-8:45pm

10350 Glaser Way

Fishers, IN

We met with Kathy yesterday and she kindly offered to get permission for us to extend our toy and clothing drive for one week since some of you haven't had a chance to bring in items or shop them. Mark has given permission for us to use the pod all of next Thursday 1/19 and Mike Ricciardi will come on Friday morning and gather everything remaining to donate to charity. If you bring in anything large (like a play kitchen) please put a big note on it to go to St. Vincent de Paul. You can drop off your items any time this week in the room where we store the MOMS chairs. Dawn has offered to come again Thursday morning to help us get organized and sorted around the perimeter of the pod for ease of shopping. After Thurs evening MOMS, we'll move everything to the center and Mike will come pick up. How generous of him! That will make things so much easier. Win-win for all!

Adopt-a-Family

You ladies made the Christmas of one special family very, very bright. Thank you for your generosity, your thoughtfulness, and your hard work. Special gratitude to our outreach chairs Michelle and Erin for making this all possible. You all are a GIFT to one another and your community.

Fishers, IN

We are so looking forward to our second annual MOMS morning of reflection. We will gather on Saturday, February 11 for mass, followed by SoulCore in the social hall with Betsy and a chance to learn, reflect and grow from our wonderful guest speaker, Linda Swindell. We can't wait to share this day with you and see how the Holy Spirit works in this morning to renew your spirits. Evite here: http://evite.me/6UeTPM9qnp

Love Project: Children's Room Hospitality

Our love project in the children's room has been gratefully received! We are looking for one or two mamas to volunteer to check on the materials and supplies at some point every week for a few minutes and keep things straightened up. It would be a small commitment of time but a great help to us. Let Sarah and Jen know if you can take this on!

Need more MOW Volunteers!

We want to thank the wonderful Kelly A. for serving the seniors in our community and helping us connect with ways to be God's hands and feet to those who need a meal and a smile. Kelly needs a few more volunteers for upcoming months. We LOVE being a part of this ministry, and you will be so blessed by the chance to meet your neighbors and be a friendly face in their day. You can bring little ones along! Let Kelly know if you would like to help via facebook or email!

What to Expect at a MOMS meeting

Our ministry is open to women with children of ALL ages. We have veteran mamas and brand new moms, and so much to share and learn from one another as we grow in faith!

Meetings start with an opening prayer and introductions, followed by a discussion on various topics related to our motherhood and our faith. Our time together wraps up with prayer intentions and a closing prayer. Attendance is not required every week to be a part of MOMs – just come when you are able.

Please contact us at hspmoms@gmail.com if you have any questions before you attend your first meeting!
