An old age doesn't mean that you can't look good and have fun. Aging gracefully is not impossible, I promise. The key to aging gracefully is maintaining a healthy mind and body. Here are 5 tips to aging gracefully.

Don't let your brain turn into mush. I'm a sole believer in the age old saying "if you don't use it, you lose it". To prevent this from happening, try doing a hobby that makes you happy. Read more to keep your mind active and play mind games such as sudoku and crossword puzzles. If you want a deeper challenge, try playing mind games on your smart phone, tablet or computer.

Exercise Exercise Exercise! Exercising has its benefits. Not only does it keep you in shape, but it can improve health in some with diseases and disabilities. Neglect to exercise can mean more trips to the doctor, hospitalization, obesity, and a variety of illnesses.

Don't forget a check up. Visiting the doctor regularly can help prevent any illness from occurring. Let them know if you have any discomfort or pain.

You are what you eat. Don't be that person who lets themselves go. Eating right will help you in the long run. It can prevent diseases such as heart disease and other diseases of that nature. Maintaining a balanced healthy diet, will give you the nutrients you need as you age.

Blow off steam. Its better to keep away stress as much as possible. Try to do soothing things such as meditating and yoga. Engage socially and try your best to avoid unnecessary drama.
