- Set aside differences
- Stick to a budget
- Learn to say no
- Don’t abandon healthy habits (eat healthy foods, get plenty of sleep, exercise)
- Don’t over-indulge
- Take a breather (go for a walk, stargaze)

UNT G-Force on campus to help with College Application Process
G-Force is available for College Application Help, Financial Aide Application Help, and Tutoring.
The UNT G-Force Program is an initiative sponsored through the Texas Work-Study Mentorship Program. G-Force is a critical part of the Office of Outreach and our ability to help students access higher education through advising, tutoring, and mentoring. The UNT G-Force program offers various services to assist students with navigating the college exploration process and excelling academically.

FAFSA
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a necessary requirement for all students seeking Federal and State financial aid for higher education in the United States. This application determines how much financial aid a student is eligible to receive from the government based on need, and often, students are required to fill out the FAFSA when applying for private scholarships and grants.

Don't see a club for you? You can start a club! Clubs are student-initiated. All you have to do is find a teacher/staff member to sponsor and host the club with you. So, find some like-minded friends and work with a staff member to start your club right away!
NISD Virtual Angel Tree Information
Get them before they are gone! Consider adopting an angel off of the Northwest ISD Angel Tree to support students in our immediate area to ensure they have a happy holiday!
Simply visit angeltree.nisdtx.org to browse the angels and adopt! A new feature this year allows adopters to select a group of siblings from one family based on the quantity of angels they wish to adopt!
November 29–December 14: These are the days we are looking for volunteers at the administration building. If you can get away and want to help, please sign up for a time slot here.
December 15-17: Parents of angels will pick up items from campus of choice.

Practical Parenting Workshops
NISD Offers Free Parent Education Virtual Sessions
The NISD Family Involvement Program, College and Career Readiness Program and Guidance and Counseling Department partners together to provide opportunities for parents and guardians to attend workshops and events. These events promote the optimal development and success for their child, tips, tools and information to prepare students and parents for the realities of parenting children through all the stages of life.
