Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons started today. Students need togs, at least one towel and a drink bottle, all named, in a named bag that they can take on the bus with them. Named goggles and named swimming caps are also welcome, if they are available.
Te Korowai o Horokiwi Kapa Haka Festival
Our year 6s did a fantastic job performing at Te Korowai o Horokiwi Kapa Haka Festival on Friday. They enjoyed having an opportunity to perform and showed grit and respect throughout.
EOTC Week
Option 1 (visit to the park) on Thursday 8 December is now full. If your child has not yet returned their permission slip, this still needs to be done so that we can take them on the visit to the gully.
Medication at School
Any medication brought to school MUST go to the office with the following exceptions:
Asthma inhalers should be labelled and kept in school bags, which remain zipped up, so that they are safe and close to hand when needed.
Medication for serious conditions such as diabetes and anaphylactic reactions should be left daily in the Rākau Nui medical room so they are easily available and monitored by an adult.
If you need medication to be administered to your child at school, there is a form in the office that must be completed and signed first.
Year 6 Graduation
Our Year 6 Graduation will be on Tuesday 06 December. Parents of the Year 6 students are invited to attend the graduation ceremony, arriving from 5.30pm ready for the 5.45pm start. A notice for this came home last week.
Year 6 Digital Learning
To prevent Year 6s losing their digital work when they move to Intermediate, they should be able to log on to their Google Drive at home and download the folders with their learning in. Any learning in Seesaw can be downloaded as a PDF. This should be done before the end of the school year. If there are any problems with this, please let Jenni or Trelise know and they will try to help with that.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything with us, please remember that your first point of contact is your child’s home class teacher. Our email addresses are:
