Who We Are

The Local Task Force (LTF) on the Right to Education in Armstrong and Indiana Counties is an advisory group comprising consumers, advocates, and providers of special education.

Consumers, both students with disabilities and parents/caregivers have the majority membership on the LTF.

Provider members represent area school districts, career, and technical centers, ARIN IU 28, and the Armstrong-Indiana Behavioral and Developmental Health Program.

Advocate members represent agencies that serve people with disabilities.

As an advocacy group for students with disabilities, The Local Task Force (LTF) works to strengthen, improve, expand, and monitor programs and services that meet individual educational needs. The LTF gives parents, administrators, students with disabilities, agency representatives, and others a place to share information, discuss their concerns and seek collaborative solutions. The LTF also works to resolve problems and refers individual concerns to the appropriate person or organization.
