Perseverance is...
Why stand if you aren’t going to follow your dreams?
Compare and Contrast
There are a lot of similarities in the songs “Eye of the Tiger” and “Stand”. The theme in “Eye of the Tiger” is the same as the theme in “Stand”. The theme is when you fall because of the struggles in your life you can get mad at yourself and feel like you aren’t good enough to get back up. You just need to pick yourself up and keep on moving because everybody makes mistakes. Also, they both contain literary techniques and one example is imagery. There are also differences in the two songs. In the song “Stand” the person is persevering from the outcome of getting mad at someone and solving it in the wrong way. On the other hand, In the song “Eye of the Tiger” the person is persevering through the troubles that they have that are causing their dreams to fade away. Lastly, In the song “Stand” throughout the whole song the mood is sad. The mood is sad because during the whole song the person that has fallen is trying to climb back up from their struggles and not back down because they know they can do it. In contrast, In “Eye of the Tiger” throughout the whole song the mood goes from sad to happy. The mood is sad when the person is falling to the ground and the mood is happy when the person is climbing back up to follow their dreams. This song goes back and forth between happy and sad a few times.

Awesome is jackpot
Cause and Effect
Being awesome is something that everybody can do if they never give up. The ways that people can get there are by fighting through all of the troubles they have in their life even if they they don’t succeed the first time. There is a quote from the Kid President video that really displays how to achieve awesomeness. The quote is “and if life is a game, are we all on the same team?” This really demonstrate someone can achieve awesomeness by showing that everybody needs some encouragement to get through the troubles that they have in their life. You need people to cheer you on so you have the faith and hope to get through your trouble. If you have someone that cheers you on you will have success and be AWESOME.
