From the Athletic Director's Desk

Winter Registration is upon us and FamilyID is up and running. The discount window will extend into the latter part of October. This weekend is great time to sign up your student-athlete.

Sports include boys & girls basketball, cheer, boys & girls (co-op with Dover-Sherborn and Hopkinton) hockey, boys & girls indoor track, and co-ed wrestling.

As the seasons progress, we invite all families to follow the BLACKHAWKS via Twitter @BHAMATHLETICS and by downloading the MIAA app for up to date scores & schedules.

Parking for Turf and Grass events should occur at either the Middle School or High School parking lots. During business hours, the access road is intended to serve as overflow for library parking. Please refrain from parking in the library parking lot when the library is open.

Some inquiries have been received regarding parking on the access road. After consulting with Bellingham public safety, it was determined that for safety reasons parking restrictions were required on the access road.

This change now affords us the opportunity to

1. Safely park buses.

2. Create an area for game officials and event staff to park.

3. Allow space for lines at the ticket booth and band processions

4. Increase the handicap parking area for larger events.

5. Eliminate pedestrian vs vehicle traffic after events.

We have parking for several hundred cars at both the High School and Middle School with walking distances that are consistent with many schools in the region.
