Coppell will host District Varsity THIS WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY April 3-4, 2019. Winners will advance to the Regional level. We NEED SPECTATORS to cheer on our fabulous competitors. You never know when that support could give them the edge they need to pull off a tough victory. PLEASE show up to support our team and enjoy high-level tennis!
Spring Flower Sales are well underway!! Ask your players about it. The goal is for each player to sell 15 flats. The tennis program relies on this fundraiser for expenses such as ball machines, balls, tournaments, etc. Since each flat provides a $9 profit to the tennis program, players not wishing to sell flowers are encouraged to donate $135 or $9 per flat that is not sold. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, so please contribute and volunteer.

The Varsity Team traveled to participate in the Kemah Boardwalk Tournament last weekend.
There were 32 teams with the top 16 competing in the championship division. It is a very difficult tournament, as the players who will eventually qualify for state will most likely compete in this tournament. For such a difficult tournament, we had a good showing.
Matthew Abbey won 4th Place in Boys' Singles
Suzuka Nishino/Ruchika Khowala won 4th Place in Girls' Doubles
Congrats to all!!
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR PARENTS who have graciously volunteered their time to make sure our players have the best possible experience. This includes the entire Booster Club Board and all the parents who have volunteered to help with the website, social media, communication, pictures, tournaments, flower sales, Senior Night, Homecoming, the tennis banquet and countless other things. It truly takes a lot to run this program properly. Thank you so much to those who show up to the booster club meetings, the banquet meetings, and the matches! We have some parents who continually step up to serve and support, and their contribution is very much appreciated.
Boosters are looking for YOUR HELP. We have 127 players; please help us support them and help make this tennis program the best that it can be. GET INVOLVED!!
Also, if you have tennis PICTURES TO SHARE, please upload them to the share site or contact Monica Cole email@example.com 972-978-7123. We would love to showcase as many players as possible in our newsletters.
Do you know someone on the tennis team who has recently accomplished something we might all want to know about? Maybe they made it to the quarterfinals in a USTA tournament, maybe they just champed up, maybe they got a perfect score on their SAT, maybe they have been selected to the All-State Choir. Whatever the success, let's share it. Remember that we are a team--a win for one is a win for all! Email your info to Monica Cole firstname.lastname@example.org to have it included in the Aces section of our next newsletter.
