The B.Y.E. Buzz
February 15, 2022
Principal Corner
Thank you for all you do to help our school be successful. We know it takes a village to see all of our students succeed. We have seen great growth on our Reading and Literacy Winter assessments. Teachers will be sending those reports home and discussing the results at conferences. Conferences will be in-person on March 7-8. We also know that Zoom was better for many of our families, so we are happy to continue a Zoom option as needed.
Our teachers are working harder than ever to accommodate each child's learning style and needs. I couldn't be more proud of what happens in our classrooms each day. Please see the article below about our very own Mrs. Hall. We are so thankful that she has been highlighted for this prestigious award, and I know that all of our teachers are also incredible.
There will be no school on February 14th due to a teacher work day.
Too Cool Twosday and Read Across America will be here soon! Check out the graphics below.

Character Word of the Month- Caring
For the month of February we are focusing on the word caring. Caring means to show kindness and concern for others.
Practice it!
Donate food, clothes, or old toys
Write encouraging notes to people in your community
Show respect to people, animals and the environment
Be helpful in any situation whether it’s at home or at school.
Read About it!

Talk About it!
Tell me about a time you showed someone you cared. How did that make you feel?
What do you think caring means?
What are ways you can be caring to people at home, at school and in the community?
