Teen Services and the Boys and Girls Club's Teen Club are teaming up for high school students!

Teen Services and the Boys and Girls Club's Teen Club are teaming up to provide a safe, socially distanced space (2/3 of which is outdoors) where high school students can come and have access to the internet and a calm, focused environment with a friendly staff to assist them with whatever they may need during their school day. COVID-19 sanitization and screening protocols are in place. We'll remain open until 5:00 for the Club's usual programming as well as additional community service opportunities including organic gardening and cooking for the homeless. Attached is a flyer in both English and Spanish, as well as an FAQ for parents and a letter to teens describing our program. This is the link to register that parents need to complete if they want their teen to participate.

Do you need additional support for distance learning?

Save the date for the first event in a series of parent support forums hosted by SCOE to support families in distance learning. A panel of SCOE technology and educational support experts will be on hand to provide tips, resources, and answer questions from the community.

Topics will include guidance on technology, how to set up a positive learning environment, and student/family rights and expectations under distance learning. Upon registration, parents will have the chance to submit questions in advance. This forum is meant to provide general information support to families. From our friends & partners at Sonoma Valley Community Health Center:

As many of you may have asked yourselves, this year we were unable to host "Back to School Health Fair". Nonetheless, we know how important school supplies are for children in our community and in lieu this year we donated $4000 to Sonoma Valley Unified School District so they could provide school supply kits for students. We are especially grateful to our local WestAmerica who put $1500 of the funds donated. We are especially grateful to the partners who have made this possible in the past and we hope to resume in 2021: Sonoma, Valley Ed Foundation, FISH, La Luz Center Sonoma Valley Hospital 4Cs of Sonoma County Valley of the Moon Lions Sonoma Sheriff’s Office
