Testing:

Thank you to all who participated in fall Smarter Balanced and WCAS Science testing. We are so proud of you! WAVA was able to safely administer over 4500 tests to students across the state at one of our 27 testing locations, meeting our state requirement for test administration. Results for this fall’s testing will be available to districts in February 2022, and we will send those out to students who participated. The results will provide a brief check in on how schools and students are doing after school year 2020-2021. Remember: test results are only one way to know how students are doing in ELA, math, and science. Consider having a conversation with your student’s teacher about your student’s learning. This may include teacher observations, projects, classroom work, and other school activities.

WAVA will participate in the regular spring assessments, required every year for public school students in grades 3-8, 10 & 11, in April and May 2022. More information about our spring test preparation and scheduling will be sent to families starting in January 2022. Until then, keep working toward your goals and growing in your education!
