Open Enrollment for the 2023-2024 School Year

We are beginning to plan for the 2023-2024 school year. After signing your K-8 initial tuition agreement, enrollment in future years is continuous and tuition agreements will carry over each year until your child graduates from 8th grade. This means that you will no longer have to complete the enrollment process each year, unless you have a new child entering the school, a new kindergartner, or preschooler.

This will be a huge time-saver for you in future years and it will help us be more efficient and more fiscally responsive. No action is needed at this time, unless your child will not be returning next school year, in which case, please notify the school in writing by January 31st.

Registration Fee and Tuition: An annual non-refundable $50 per student registration fee will be charged to your TADS account, on or around February 15th for students who are enrolled for the 2023-2024 school year at Sacred Heart Catholic School.

We will notify families at the end of January regarding changes to tuition rates and fees. It is the responsibility of each family to then adjust account information (i.e. address, phone number, emails) and payment plans (one, two, or 10 monthly payments) through TADS each spring.

Tuition Agreements (Action needed in spring): Once tuition agreements generate in TADS in spring, parents will be notified via email (from TADS) to sign their tuition agreement for the 2023-2024 school year.

Once the registration fee is charged and paid through TADS, a place will be reserved for each student. However, acceptance of the registration fee does not guarantee admission for the following year. Continuous enrollment will be based on a family’s good standing in meeting financial obligations to the school as well as meeting compulsory attendance obligations as defined in our School Handbook.

If you have any questions regarding the enrollment process, please contact Karen Bursey at 763-285-6255 or email kbursey@shcsr.org.

Open Enrollment DOES NOT INCLUDE PreK or Kindergarten for 2023-2024

All 4 year old PreK students attending kindergarten, please log in and enroll in our K-8 program. Once this happens, open enrollment begins.

All 3 year olds enrolling in 4 year old PreK program, please re-enroll in our program. You have many options for next year: 5 days all day, 4 days, all day, 3 days all day, or 3 half days.

NEW School Safety Protocols

Promoting a safe and secure learning environment is further strengthened and reinforced through a partnership with students, staff, parents, and our community.

Sacred Heart Catholic School has adopted the "I Love U Guys" Foundation's Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will be training, practicing and drilling the protocols this month and throughout the year.

The premise is simple-there are five specific actions that can be performed during an incident. When communicating these , the action is labeled as Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter. Then staff and students know the directive to follow.

Parent's role in an emergency

  • Stay Home – Parents are advised not to come to the school. By arriving at the school you may be endangering yourself or your child. School personnel and First Responders will be working hard to control the situation and protect your children. Law Enforcement will be focused on the important task of keeping your child safe.
  • Stay informed – School personnel will provide information as soon as possible. Some situations take time to verify accurate information. School personnel will be in communication throughout the situation and will communicate in several different ways: Text messages, email, school web site, or local news media. Please do not call the school as you most likely will not get an answer or you could be pulling staff away from the emergency situation.
  • Be ready – In case a reunification is necessary, you’ll be informed of when and where to pick up your child. Please bring a photo ID and be patient in the process of connecting you with your child. The process takes time and it’s important to stay calm. The reunification process protects both the safety of students and provides for an accountable exchange of custody from the school to a recognized parent or guardian.
  • Hold off on calling or texting your student - Parents will be notified with updates on the situation in a timely manner. When it’s safe to do so, older students will be allowed to text their parent(s) during a crisis, if applicable. You should NOT call or text a student’s cell phone during a crisis unless you’ve heard from them first and you know it’s safe to text back. You may be placing your child at risk. Students are trained to stay out of site and quiet during a Lockdown. A phone ringing or vibrating could alert an intruder to the student’s location.
