WHS Newsletter
Spring 4
A Message From Principal Callaghan
Dear Parents & Guardians,
In this Spring Newsletter edition you will find information about some ongoing and upcoming events taking place at WHS as we move closer to the end of the year. Like our academics, our extra curricular efforts are still going strong.
Additionally, you will see the details about WHS' Summer Reading program 2021. I am sure you will all agree, reading for both learning and leisure is critically important. It is our hope that you can encourage your child to read one or all of the books this summer, because the benefits of reading are endless:
- encouragement that reading become a lifelong habit
- reluctant readers can be drawn in by the activities
- reading over the summer helps children keep their skills up
- the program can generate interest in the library and books
And it being summer, reading can just be good fun and provide an opportunity for imaginations to flow freely.
Please review the details below. Thanks for your support in having your child participate in the WHS Summer Reading program.
Sincerely,
Mr. Brian Callaghan

Info from the Nurse For Current 10th Graders
This is an important reminder that all students who are 16 years old and entering 11th grade are required to receive a second dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY). 1 dose is acceptable if it is given on or after the 16th birthday.
Please submit physician documentation of this in order to update your child’s school health record. I strongly recommend that you arrange this 11th grade immunization requirement as soon as possible so that your child will be cleared for school entry in late August. Please ignore if this has been submitted.
The documentation can be submitted to me by email, fax, or mail:
