From The Principal
Starting this month, we will begin honoring students of the week and an outstanding staff member each month. Each grade level has chosen a community service project and work will begin soon to help those in need. Alongside those projects, we will be starting a clothing closet for students through our counselor's office. We will send more information out about this once we have a better idea of what types of things are needed.
A calendar for October events is below, but we will have a parent meeting for our Aim for Success program on October 4th at 4:30 in the cafeteria. Students will bring information home about this event.
On October 8th, we will have a parent meeting at 8:00 am in the cafeteria regarding school accountability and how we did last year with the new accountability system. Coffee will be served for parents who attend and a time to ask questions will be provided. Teachers will be available during the day to meet if you have any specific concerns. Feel free to contact teachers individually if you would like to schedule a meeting to discuss your student's progress.
We look forward to a great month! As always, it is a great day to be a LION!

New Faces & Roles on Campus: Alex Herbert, PEIMS Secretary
Alex loves working at NBMS because of our students. Middle school aged students are funny and are a lot smarter than people give them credit for, Alex says.
She is such an asset to NBMS and we are so glad to have her working with our students!
