PTO Newsletter - Volume 149 - March 18, 2016
Message from the President
Auction invitations were sent home via backpack mail last week. Don't miss your chance to attend our biggest fundraiser of the year!! I'm personally excited to be attending the auction at the beautiful Belle Haven Country Club! I have never been, and I looked it up online this morning. Oh my goodness, with the Potomac River and the rolling hills of the Belle Haven golf course as a back drop, it will definitely be our most scenic auction ever!!
I am so thankful for George & Adriana Sifakis for taking on the role of auction co-chairs this year and working hard to make this a successful event for the PTO. Please r.s.v.p. soon and help support them and STM!
The "Stock the Cellar" wine tasting is on the calendar for Tuesday, the 22nd. Hope to see you there!
The PTO Newsletter will be going on Spring Break and will return to your email inboxes on April 8th. Happy Easter! Happy Spring Break! Safe travels wherever you may be heading.

Call for Baskets!
The PTO Auction Committee is looking for baskets! We are in need of your empty baskets that can be re-purposed and used for some of the exciting silent auction packages we have up for bid at this year’s Spring Auction. Please feel free to drop them off at the STM Office anytime in the next few weeks.
We are also looking for gift baskets that are “Bid Ready” for our silent auction. If you are feeling creative, have some extra goodies or gift cards on hand, or just looking for a way to contribute to this year’s Spring Auction, we would greatly appreciate your gift basket donation!
"My Big Fat Greek Auction!"
Auction Invitations were sent home yesterday in your child's backpack! Don't miss out on this amazing fundraiser!!
Preparations are already underway, and, as always, we welcome your wholehearted support. Naturally, we’d love to have everyone who has a child, grandchild, or even just a an interest in the overall well-being of our school, to come, have fun, and enjoy themselves to the fullest! In addition, there are also many jobs and roles available -- big or small -- for anyone who might enjoy an opportunity to volunteer to help make this great event a complete success!!!
Check out the weekly electronic blasts for additional information and contact points should you want to sign up to help out.
Whether you are able to lend your time and services or not, however, we do hope you will make plans to join your friends and the whole STM community as participants in this most festive annual occasion. The PTO always does an outstanding job in putting this whole event together, so it promises to be a really great night – and for a really great cause – our school, our community and our kids!
Thank you in advance for your continued support, generosity and prayers. With that combination, how could any event not be a huge success?
Adriana & George Sifakis
Please consider Donating to the Auction!
If you have any time to give to the Used Uniform activity for sorting through sizes, labeling, etc. please contact Cristina Farias-Gomez at firstname.lastname@example.org or 703-434-1996.
The Used Uniform committee hopes to have a sale before Spring Break and soon thereafter, but they need to get organized and would still like to receive donations. Also, you are always welcome to hand Cristina or Mickey donations at 3:15 p.m. pick up or send them to the front office and they will set them aside for us.
Thank you for your continued support of the Used Uniform activity at STM.
