Grizzly Tickets are handed out to students who are "caught" doing great things. Whether they are demonstrating kindness, respect, citizenship, or any number of awesome characteristics, being awarded a Grizzly Ticket will earn them one entry into our weekly drawing.

Weekly drawing winners get to spend the following week at the KING/QUEEN GRIZZLY lunch table. This table has the privilege of being called first to get their lunch trays and the first to be dismissed to their next class. Occasionally, King or Queen Grizzly will get to use the microphone to dismiss all the other tables, too! CONGRATULATIONS and enjoy your reign!!

*ALL Grizzly Tickets awarded since the start of the school year will be entered in a big prize drawing in May!

Thank you to Matt Bieber for supporting our students by donating this week's prizes! Mr. Bieber provided several gift cards to The Islander Bookshop!

In math class, students have been working on calculating percents. We are going to have a review sheet given out this Monday, April 17, and due Friday, April 21, in preparation for a test on ratios and percents on April 21. After that, we will work on fraction division and then move onto geometry for the end of the year!

Students chose an endangered species to research. They will be focusing on the human impacts and solutions for this issue. They will be creating a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to spread awareness, in the form of a video, radio ad, or poster. We continue to study for the Geography Test coming up in May.

We have been talking about landforms and how they are made. This week we unpacked Hess and Wegener’s theories about Pangea, how the continents are drifting apart, and the seafloor is spreading. After testing students learned how to build a maze using graph paper. Next week we will be exploring how tectonic plates move and change the land above them.
