Liam the Lion

Once there was a little lion named Liam. He wanted to be like his ancestor lions, who were strong and fast. The reason he wanted to be like them is because he is in a race between other lions in the neighborhood. He asked his father what he should do, and Liam’s father said to practice and to just be himself. Liam followed his father’s advice. For 5 rough days, Liam had practiced with all his heart, and he was ready for the big race tomorrow.

Today was the biggest day of Liam’s life. It was race day! Liam had a lot of butterflies in his stomach, but he felt confident. Before the race was about to start, Liam’s father yelled out,” Be yourself Liam!” After those words the race began. Liam bolted ahead of the others like lightning. Liam was way ahead of everybody else and he was at the finish line. When he crossed the line, he was filled with joy! Liam had won and he was the fastest in the neighborhood!
