Tsunamis
Flooding, Horrifying, Deadly
Tsunamis
Tsunamis are devastating, dangerous, and treacherous, but there are some really fascinating facts and helpful ways to avoid this dangerous pool of water. A tsunami is made out of masses of ocean waves that are sent of the water. Tsunamis can also become more active by underwater landslides or even nearby volcanic eruptions. Tsunamis can increase to become powerful destructive waves. According to National Geographic, they can also speed up to a maximum of 500 miles per hour. They can even have enough power to cross the entire Pacific Ocean. A tsunami is held together called a wave train, which causes massive destruction and flooding. When avoiding tsunamis, the perfection solution is to evacuate to higher and safer ground (Nat Geo 2016). In conclusion, tsunamis can be quite dangerous, but it’s also great to know what expect from the danger that they can cause.
