Principal's Corner
Extra, Extra! Parsons ES has made the news again (Principal News). That's right! After the 'major' power outage on Wednesday it was reported that the staff at Parsons did an AMAZING job of maintaining order and continuing with instruction. I keep saying IT but you guys are the BEST! I wake up each morning excited about my day and blessed to have wonderful people like you in my life! I could not imagine taking the new principal journey with any other team.
In light of 'no lights' on Wednesday, I thought I would do a Top 10 list like David Letterman.
Here goes...
10 THINGS that Identify you as a NEW principal-----
10- You take your Walkie Talkie in the restroom and respond. Oops!
9- You wear new shoes to impress your stakeholders and end up with HUGE blisters on your heels. Oops!-My Birks are back in business.
8- You call someone granddad and to be corrected stating he was the dad. Oops!
7- You sign in testing scratch paper on the wrong line on the confusing Verification form. Oops! You are no longer testing coordinator.
6- Your AA keeps saying, " I do that for you" because I am not use to having an AA. Oops! I love having an AA :-)
5- You share the safety message each day reminding everyone to ensure they have their staff badge and visitors have their badge and YOU forget yours two days in a row. Oops!
4- You schedule the county nurse for an all staff meeting but never confirm the date. Oops!
3- You pull out your APP notebook (Aspiring Principal Notebook) to guide you through a power outage (I needed to know who to call). Not an oops!
2- You set the alarm, leave the building, and receive a frantic phone call from a NEW teacher and hear the alarm stating, "INTRUDER, INTRUDER...the police have been contacted!" I owe Ms. Yoo BIG time! BIG OOPS!
1- You think you have the BEST job in the world because you support the BEST teachers! FACT!
So proud to serve YOU!

Count Day
At this time, we are collecting numbers for our enrollment. We will not be making any decisions or changes. I am not concerned with our overall school count. Once numbers are finalized we will decide if any changes need to be made to accommodate class enrollment.

Gracias! (Thank you in Spanish)
Thank you to Mrs. Perkerson and Mrs. Lee for doing such a great job leading the Mentor/Mentee Program at our school. Teaching is a tough job and knowing we have one another makes the work manageable.
