Dear Everitt Families
I have been lucky to have some truly wonderful conversations with our Everitt students this week, and I wanted to share with you some highlights:
- A lot of our kids say that math (MATH!!) is their favorite subject in school. What a testament to how incredible our students and our math department are.
- They have creative and compelling conversations in their classes that challenge them to think deeply and talk convincingly about their world.
- They are hilarious.
- Many of them have pretty strong views about a whole host of professional athletes disappointing them on the field or on the court.
- They have tremendous empathy for one another and are deeply kind.
- This year has been hard, but they are resilient and hopeful.
As always, thank you for believing in the power of neighborhood schools to bring our communities together, and thank you for sharing your kids with us; it is our honor to serve them.

Sources of Strength Kindess Rocks Contest!
Calling All Everitt Students and Staff!
Sources of Strength is hosting a contest and we want you to be a part of it!
Our social media campaign is all about paying it forward with Kindness Rocks. Spread joy throughout our community by creating Kindness Rocks and placing them out for the community to see and enjoy!
We are also making a Kindness Rock Garden in front of our school, if you would like to place your kindness rock at Everitt.
The contest begins Monday, February 8th to Monday, February 22nd.
Remote students can find a rock outside and use supplies they have around their house to decorate their rock.
Join the contest - create a Kindness Rock and share it to our School Wide Sources of Strength Google Classroom Code z3ro5em. Once all pictures are submitted, our judges will pick the most creative Kindness Rock and the 3 winners will get a Starbucks gift card!
