Welcome to Rawlinson Mrs. Elma Gloria
Mrs. Gloria comes to us from Fields Elementary. Elma's been a librarian for 19 years, all of which in Northside. Elma absolutely LOVES all things reading, kids and making memories for the library! We are over the moon to have Elma join the Patriot family. She comes to us with many, many RAVE reviews, we are thrilled!
From Mrs. Gloria:
Hi, my name is Elma Gloria and I am excited to join the Rawlinson family. I received my undergraduate degree from UTSA and my graduate degree from OLLU. I have been an elementary school librarian for 19 years. I am looking forward to making the move to middle school. I enjoy reading all genres including young adult literature. Aside from reading, I love to spend time with my family. I have been married to my husband, Frank, for 24 years. We have three boys. Mario is a sophomore at The University of Texas, my middle son, Marco is a Senior at Brandeis and my youngest son Mateo is a freshman at Brandeis. We also have a dog (yes he's a boy) named Rocky. I enjoy traveling, working out and going on walks. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Go Patriots!
Mrs. Romo
Teachers & Staff
I hope this message finds you well. As we enter an important phase of the academic year, we would like to inform you about the upcoming Interim Testing and TELPAS (Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System) testing that will take place over the next two weeks.
TELPAS is a crucial state assessment, and your cooperation is essential to ensure a smooth testing process for our students. Here are some key points to keep in mind during this period
- Maintain a Quiet Environment
- Awareness of Logistics
- Avoid Library Area
We deeply appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this testing period. Your support is instrumental in creating an environment that allows our students to showcase their abilities accurately.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the testing schedule or logistics, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Romo, Mr. Salem, or Mrs. Oh.
Thank you for your dedication to our student's success and your commitment to maintaining a focused and respectful testing environment.
NEW: Required Training from the LSSP, Mrs. Warzecha
Here's a synopsis of the ADHD presentation and the why:
Because of the state identified need to close the gap with special education students and overall performance, a series of required training will be delivered at each campus throughout the school year. This will provide staff members with information on disabilities and strategies to educate students in special education. The second Disability Awareness Training topic focuses on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Executive Functioning. The video focuses on the many ways it could impact a student’s behavioral and academic performance in the classroom. The video is located on Unified Talent #61629
