Below you will find the link to the Proficiency Scale for ELO 8 and 9 (Angles and Pythagorean Theorem). Ask your child where they are currently performing. They have that information in their 8th Grade eBinder.

Students need to either have their book or have access to the online book to be able to ensure their understanding of the concepts by doing their independent work.

Students have started our next unit over Westward Expansion. Students will be looking at project choice next week to dig deeper in their learning over Manifest Destiny.


Students will be learning:

Students will analyze the concept of Manifest Destiny as a catalyst for change in American history.

We continue working on our reading of Adventures of Tom Sawyer. We are still assessing daily the our comprehension of the text for our objective (8.RL.3.D). We will be working on writing a story about our themes and selecting our themes in the upcoming weeks (8.W.2.A.c).
