Frontier Parent Newsletter
April News
Note From Miss Rutan:
The Spring time is here and we are hoping the weather begins to cooperate. It has still been very cold at recess. If your child has lost a coat, please make sure to check our Lost and Found in Building 2. We have a lot of items that have been left behind.
This month we begin our state testing. At Frontier, we take pride in our learning. With that pride, comes a environment of fun and excitement around our state tests. We want to help students look forward to showing their knowledge from the year. This is their chance to shine! Our theme this year is "Level Up"! Mario and Luigi will be making an appearance and we hope to help our students have the tools ready to put forth their best selves. Below is a list of our testing days. Making sure your student's come to school well rested is really important on these days. If they have breakfast at home, make sure it is a good meal that will last them through the morning with good brain energy!
Our Spring Fling is next month on May 11th. We have several exciting dates below to look forward to!
If you have any questions, or concerns please contact me at rutan.katie@westada.org or by phone at (208) 350-4190.
Sincerely,
Katie Rutan
Principal

Central District Health (CDH) will be providing free fluoride varnish at the immunization clinic Wednesday, April 12th from 3:00-6:00 PM at Lewis and Clark Middle School (4141 E. Pine Ave, Meridian 83642). Preregistration is required for immunizations at CDH Fillable Forms for school clinic. The Fluoride Varnish clinic is a walk-in service and will include a screening exam with fluoride varnish painted on the child’s teeth. If you have any questions regarding immunizations or fluoride varnish, please contact CDH at 208-327-7400.
The last few years have been hard on children, and many have found it difficult to go to the dentist. Dental decay is the most prevalent disease affecting childhood, contributing to a loss of productive learning hours! It is CHD’s hope that they can assist in helping children by strengthening their teeth and referring those in need of further dental care.

Our annual book fair will also be taking place the week of May 8-12th. Our final night of the book fair will be at our Spring Fling.

Parking Lot Procedures
* Please remain in your vehicle during pick up and drop off. If your child needs assistance, please park and walk them to the sidewalk. This helps keep the line moving for all of our families.
*If a staff member is waving you ahead, please pull forward to allow more cars up to the front drop off and pick up area.
*Children enter at the front of the parking lot and not on the sides, this is for safety. We have numbered signs to help efficiently have students ready for when their parents' car pulls up.
