KUNA is coming soon!
KUNA meetings will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until time for our trip. We need any and all who can help. KUNA is March 3-5 at Crowne Plaza in Louisville. Join the Y Club Remind by texting @f9c6cg to 81010.
A word about Global Village/Native Attire on Day 1: Students must either wear business casual OR dress in native attire for Global Village. We don't want to make this a huge thing. At yesterday's meeting, we looked at traditional Haitian and French clothing. Everyone is responsible for providing their own costume if they decide to wear one. IT IS OPTIONAL!
We decided the following:
France-berets (I'm ordering these), black pants/skirt and white shirt, or a black dress; short red scarf or red tie (optional). I found this super cute black dress on Old Navy! Not a requirement at all, just a suggestion!
Haiti- We want girls to wear dresses or tops/skirts with a similar look to the "karabela" dress pictured above. Old Navy had a few that were similar: short and long. Again, just a suggestion! Boys will be in khaki pants and loose fitting white short sleeve shirts.
