Step 1
- Have each person at your table select one SET of the resources below to read, watch & explore. No two people should be exploring the same resource within your group.
Time Allotted: 5 minutes
Step 2
While you READ / WATCH / EXPLORE your resources, graffiti write your responses to the guiding questions below. Note: you don't need to write in complete sentences. Short phrases or single words are fine, you can even draw a response if you feel inspired, just be prepared to share why you selected the words/phrases that you wrote down.
Time allotted: 25 minutes
Guiding Questions

- How does this relate to your work with teachers?

DISCUSS your resources with your table. Each person will take turns sharing the resources they explored and their implications for our work in the library.
Everyone else will LISTEN and use the chart paper to free write individual and collective thoughts (words or phrases that stand out - or your takeaways from what your group members are sharing) on the chart paper as you discuss as a group. Free write as much as you would like from the discussion.
Time allotted: 25 minutes
Step 4
- Now... take a look at your shared graffiti wall. Based on your small group conversations, CIRCLE the EIGHT (8) most important words (note: these may or may not be the words that were repeated most) on your poster as a group. These words may be found in either your statements or from your free writing.
Time Allotted: 5 minutes
Step 5
Using the 8 words you circled AND your discussion, and using this slide deck, create a "great takeaway." From the conversation - something you would want others to glean from your reading AND something you'll be ready to share/talk about with others.
Feel free to get creative and decorate your slide with any images that you think best convey your message.
TIME Allotted: 10 minutes
