A Note from the Desk of Anna Magallanes
Dear Parents,
Welcome to another edition of our weekly school newsletter! We are thrilled to bring you the latest updates, exciting events, and notable achievements happening within our school. As a proud member of our BCS community, I’m excited to share a few words in this week’s edition.
This year has started off with so many blessings. We have such a dedicated and passionate community of teachers, staff, and parents who are committed to providing the best possible education for our students. Their unwavering support and collaborative efforts create a nurturing and engaging environment where every child can thrive. Our school culture promotes respect, empathy, and kindness, teaching students the way of Jesus as it encourages collaboration, teamwork, and open communication, fostering strong relationships between students, teachers, staff, and parents. A strong school culture instills a love for learning and a desire to excel, creating a vibrant and dynamic educational experience for all. We are proud to have a school culture that dedicates sharing the love of Jesus and His teachings as they play a pivotal role in shaping the overall success and happiness of our students.
Career Fair
The recent Career Fair we hosted was outstanding! With our dedicated team, we created an environment where local community leaders were welcomed to share their expertise in their field of employment. We are thrilled to be able to host this event each year and watch it grow with community involvement. Meaningful connections were made with our students as professionals shared several career paths and opportunities after graduation.
Walkathon Fundraiser
Get ready to put on your walking shoes and join us for an exciting upcoming event - our BCS Walkathon Fundraiser! This year, we are excited to host this event with our cross country team and have the opportunity to add a 5k and 2 mile run! Our walkathon is not just about taking steps, but also about raising funds to ensure the future of our students by building a foundation for a strong and vibrant educational community for years to come. Gather your friends, family, and colleagues and get ready to make a difference, one step at a time! Details on prizes and pledge collection will be coming soon!

Crossfit Grant Information
Our campus is the proud recipient of a $10,000 grant from the CrossFit Foundation. The CrossFit Foundation is the charitable arm of CrossFit LLC working to empower schools and other non-profits to positively impact communities through education and advocacy efforts utilizing CrossFit methodologies of physical wellness.
With the grant funds BCS athletic department was able to purchase all new equipment for the weightroom. We now have air bikes, a rower, new barbells, over 1,000 pounds of bumper plates, plyo boxes, kettlebells, wall balls, and many other pieces of equipment purchased from GetRx'd, a Houston based gym equipment company.
As our campus continues to grow so has our student population in athletics. The new equipment will allow our athletes to maintain and increase our competitive edge in all sports as athletes develop new skills and increase strength.
Go Eagles!
