#MERIT17 - November News

MERIT Program Follow-Up Class #2

Guest Teacher: Bayard Nielsen

On November 4th, the MERIT17 cohort gathered at the Krause Center for Innovation for their second of four follow-up classes. Bayard Nielsen, a Spanish teacher from Notre Dame High School in San Jose (and a MERIT16 Fellow), came to share his learning and successes with this year's cohort. Bayard shared his award-winning project where students interviewed and wrote about migrant day workers in the local area. The empowerment of his students and the day workers make this project incredibly moving and full of deep, intentional learning.
