NURSE RX
Now that health screenings for the year are completed, the rest of the referrals will be coming home. These might include hearing, vision, or dental. Please watch for these in your child's backpack. I will be calling to let you know that your child will have a referral coming home.
This summer is the perfect time to follow up on these referrals.
I also want to thank all of you for sharing your children with me and I hope all of you have a safe and healthy summer.

PRESCHOOL NEXT YEAR
Complete the Preschool Request Form if you would like your child to be enrolled in preschool for the 2019/2020 school year. Go to the Mat-Su Borough School District website (www.matsuk12.us). It's open now and closes June 30. Your child must be 4 years old by September 1 to enroll.
Preschool classes begin August 26, 2019.
Completing the "Parent Request Form" is the only way to enroll for preschool. Please do not enroll preschool children through the iParent iEnroll process. If your child is selected, a Federal Programs preschool teacher will contact you directly to initiate the preschool enrollment process beginning July 15.
Synergy Student Information System
The Matanuska Susitna Borough School District is migrating to a new student information system (SIS) called Synergy for the 2019-2020 school year. This change in our SIS will better support education for MSBSD students.
Our current system, SchoolMAX (iParent/iStudent), has become static and its functionality will not improve in the future. Our new SIS is responsive and will evolve with the changing needs of K-12 education and of our District. Transitioning to Synergy allows us to create a more user-friendly platform and optimize operating costs while we continue to focus on quality education for all students.
Online registration will begin in early July 2019 and the District will reach out directly to families when registration is open. For additional information, click here, visit www.matsuk12.us/synergy, contact your school’s administration, or contact Reese Everett/Dina Henderson in the Office of Instruction 746-9212.
