B98.5's Tad, Drex and Kara Morning Show Read to Stripling Elementary Students

Stripling Elementary was one of the schools selected by the Tad, Drex, and Kara Morning Show from the B98.5 Atlanta radio station to host the "Read to 1K" program. Their goal was to read to 1,000 students in-person. Stripling's 2nd graders enjoyed an interactive read aloud of "We Don't Eat Our Classmates" by Ryan Higgens and "The Wonky Donkey" by Craig Smith. Stripling received a shout-out on the B98.5 morning show the following day recognizing the great experience the morning show hosts had while visiting the school and the hard work of the Stripling Elementary teachers and staff.

Fall Fun at Phoenix High School

Fall Fun Week was a hit at Phoenix High School. The three-day festivities helped staff and students connect through a series of games and activities, like poetry writing, ping-pong, family feud, and basketball, among others. Todd Schultz, a Social Studies teacher at the school, says the event was impactful. "Something magical happens when students and staff connect by having fun outside of the classroom,” Mr. Schultz says. “Students begin to view us in a different light, realizing that we’re real people who like to have fun just like them, and genuinely care about them as individuals, not just as students. Our relationships with them are forever changed for the good."
