Health Insurance Enrollment - ENDS TODAY!
Time RUNS OUT TODAY
Enrollment ends Today, Tuesday, November 19th.
ACTION IS REQUIRED to ensure you get the lowest premium in 2020.
- Everyone has been placed on the 70/30 Plan. If you wish to have the 80/20 Plan You MUST re-enroll. It DOES NOT automatically continue. If you don’t do anything you will be placed on the 70/30 Plan for 2020 and end up paying a higher premium with higher out of pocket expenses. YOU MUST TAKE ACTION!
- Good News! No premium increase for 2020. Premiums have been frozen.
- 70/30 plan now has a higher individual deductible (from $1,080 to $1,500) and a $1,260 increase to the family deductible ($3,240 to $4,500)
- 70/30 plan now has an increase of $1,512 for the individual and an increase of $3,136 for Medical/RX Out-of-pocket (OOP). The positive is that the deductible of $1,500 (individual) and $4,500 (family) counts towards the total Medical/RX Out-of-Pocket (OOP).
- You must attest to being a non-tobacco user OR agree to visit the CVS MinuteClinic for at least one tobacco cessation counseling session by December 31st to earn the premium credit. No voucher required to attend but you will need to keep the receipt as proof.
- If you fail to take action during Open Enrollment, your monthly premiums will be considerably higher in 2020!

Need CEU's? A message from HR
If staff members are looking for ideas for getting credits for their licensure, we have a place on the HR website that they can go to for ideas.
On the HR licensure page, underneath the table of credits is a link “if I am short on credits where can I go?”
When they click on this link we have a working document with ideas of free resources.
The direct link to this page is: https://www.cabarrus.k12.nc.us/Page/75192 if you want to share it with anyone.
Also, be sure to check periodically your licensure status and the amount that you need for renewal.
