Homicide Detective
by Madelyn Gallier
What? Homicide Detective? What's that?
In short, Homicide Detectives will investigate and close a case of murder. HDs are specifically made for detective work, just like Sherlock Holmes!
What is required to be one?
To be one, you'll need to have at least a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, if you take other classes like law enforcement, human anatomy, psychology, biology, and a few athletic classes. The more years of experience you have with these subjects, the better!
How do I get there?
Well first, you'll have to join the police force and become a regular police officer. After a few months if you're lucky enough, you'll get promoted and hopefully become a homicide detective. Your average work will increase significantly from $27 an hour to $36 dollars an hour.
